Hi
Just back from Istanbul, meant to be a gorgeous city. Well to speak frankly, I was not that much certain at all that it is a great city. It is overpopulated, dirty, noisy, poluted and almost
impossible to walk in the narrow and steep streets. Furthermore it is damn expensive, and I have fallen into some tourist traps. Nonetheless it was great being there one whole week and spend some
time in remote islands (buyukada, princess island) is a nice car-free spot ; also the Bosporus cruise is great (one way is enough, take the bus for return it is a lovely journey back to the
city center).
What more can I say? I would be interested in reading you guys if you have recently visited that huge city (it is meant to be populated by 17 mio people!)
Cheerio.
a true institution! thousands of people (mainly Turks) gather on week ends @ Tiergarte the great garden located close to Brandenburg Tor and Potsdamer Platz. A bbq smell wraps all the alleys
of the park and whet your appetite
football is played and flags are displayed
turkish coffee and shisha conclude a great sunny day before going back to work again on Monday
OC.
Hurry up!
You have a few weeks left for visiting this trash exhibtion-young people please avoid visit, website and videos published here. One more time, Berlin has it all! Cheerio. OC

some 15 000 thousand joyful people gathered at brandenburg tor and cheered noisily when dalai lama demanded a total freedom of acts and thoughts throughout china and tibet-the first thing he
mentioned was the earthquake in sichuan and he expressed his sympathy, condolences and solidarity to the people affected by the tragedy. First video is not high quality but worth seeing anyway. A
few pro-chinese demonstrators also expressed their point of view.
Peace on earth, my friends!
